This has been the best summer for many years up here at the Inn of Lincoln. You have got to come on up and enjoy this fantastic time of year. We spent a few days off in the area. Sometimes we forget where we live. Getting stuck in the rut of the day to day grind. We took a Saturday and went to the Whales tale thinking this was only a place for “rides” I was not thrilled but any chance to have my family together I go for it… IT WAS A BLAST… We had a perfect spot with lounge chairs. The kids all went on all the water rides. We floated along the lazy river. Best part of the day was when the kids found the DOTS concession booth. It was just a fantastic day. Oh yea and don’t forget your sun block you’ll need it…

Sunday we took a trip to Clarks Trained Bears. We haven’t been in a few years. Easy for us to tell because we always get an old time family photo taken when we go. It’s a HOOT looking back at all the years when the kids were small and even more fun making them get dressed up now that they are all grown. The bear show is always wonderful. The train ride is still my favorite part of it all. Yelling at the Wolfman is just something you have to experience…

We went to Woodward’s for a nice relaxing dinner. As always the food was FANTASTIC…

Next weekend we’re going to plan a trip down to try the zip line… Well SOME of us are and the Safari Ride. This should be interesting…

Give us a call here at the Inn of Lincoln if you’re planning a trip up. We are standing by the phones waiting to help you make your reservation and plan your time here. We can show you lots of area attractions to help make the most of your stay…

Stay safe and ENJOY THE SUN…

It is SOOOOOOO beautiful and warm up here at the Inn of Lincoln. Memorial Day was busy around here with a great bunch of guests. The perfect way to kick off our summer season…

I was sitting here thinking about what to write today. I looked out the window and one of our guests was walking by he smiled and waved, I smiled and waved back. I gotta tell ya we have some of the nicest people stay here. I take the word GUEST seriously. My job is to get our guests settled and be sure their stay is fantastic. I really take it personally when someone calls up and requests a reservation. I listen to them tell me about why they are coming up and what their plans are. I answer any and all questions they may have. Then I tell them “Can’t wait to meet you”… Or “See you when you get here”… The REALY COOL part is some of them remember me when they get here and it’s like greeting an old friend. I always tell our guests to please let us know if they need anything. That my job is to help make their stay as perfect as I can… and I take THAT extremely seriously. We all do…

So if you haven’t already called us to make your fun in the summer vacation plans don’t hesitate I’m sitting here right now waiting for you to call me at the beautiful Inn of Lincoln. We all look forward to meeting you or seeing you again.

Stay Safe and ENJOY LIFE… You only get to once…

It feels like SPRING here at the Inn of Lincoln. Of course there is always the chance of snow still looming over us. (I’ve seen it snow a foot around Easter before) but the temps have been unseasonably WARM and SUNNY. The snow is mostly all melted except in the shady spots. The trees are showing signs of budding and my daffodils are peeking up through the mud. Sure makes you want to start thinking about summer and vacation.

We are looking forward to a busy summer and all the wonderful people that return to stay here year after year (we love to hear their stories of years past). So nice meeting them all last year and looking forward to seeing them this year. You are all in for a treat when you see all the renovations that have been done. The Inn has had a dramatic face lift since July of last year.

I know it’s a bit sound a bit early for me to be saying “Book your summer vacation reservations now” but really it is filling up quick. We all know how time flies by and then one day it hits us. “Dang… I should have already made our reservations”. Nothing worse for us than to tell a Guest that we can’t accommodate them.

Happy SPRING to everyone and enjoy the beautiful weather. We here at the Inn of Lincoln are busy getting everything ready for our spring season. It makes for beautiful hiking with the warmer temps and the snow capped mountains. Simply Mother Nature’s beauty at its finest.

Hope to hear from you soon

It’s not officially spring yet but DANG you wouldn’t know it the past couple weeks. The sun shining the warm temps its just beautiful up here. The skiers and snowboarders are loving this. The locals are out there grabbing every minute they can on the mountains. It just doesn’t get any better than this.

This is also the time of year for “suggarin”… Tap the maple trees and let the sap flow. If you’ve never had the opportunity to visit a Sugar Shack and see how it all works you’re missing out. It’s amazing how that yucky sticky sap is turned into delicious Maple Syrup, Maple Sugar Candy, or Sugar on snow, the process is amazing. The Rocks Estate has a great offer during this season.

Experience maple sugar season at The Rocks Estate
The 2010 Maple season at the Rocks Estate will begin on Saturday, March 13th, 20th, 21st, 27th 28th and Saturday, April 3rd from 10 am to 4 pm. Programs include history of sugaring, tapping and the new sugar house and maple museum which is located in the newly renovated Sawmill/Pigpen. Wagon rides will part of the experience. Programs will be running hourly.

The program fills up fast, so call 603-444-6228 for reservations! Polly’s Pancake Parlor will be offering breakfast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at an additional cost.

So give us a call here at the Inn of Lincoln we’ll set you up in a warm and cozy room. You and the family can go out “Suggarin” at the Rocks during the day and then come back to the Inn for a relaxing evening. Don’t forget your bathing suits it’s fun walking through the underground tunnel to our heated indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

Stay safe and we hope to hear from you soon…

One thing you can always count on is the unpredictability of the weather here in the North Country. We’ve had many cloudy days with beautiful snow showers that blanket everything outside. It is stunning when the sun comes out and the Mountains sparkle like they are covered with diamonds. Days that bring snow showers just make you want to curl up by the fire. Lucky for us we have fireplaces in our beautifully renovated rooms. Those of you that spend the day on the mountain can return to the Inn knowing you will be basking in the warm glow from your in room fireplace.

Don’t forget Valentine’s Day is coming we have some great deals for a romantic weekend away. This brings me to a point I’d like to make… I’ve been married for 25 years. It is so easy to get into the “routine” of things. He had his work and I was a stay at home mom. Then one day we were given a gift certificate to a local restaurant for dinner out. I made a reservation and called my mom to watch the kids. As we sat at the table after ordering our dinner it was at THAT moment I felt the Grand Canyon that had come between us. We had NOTHING to talk about… It wasn’t like we didn’t want to talk or that we didn’t like each other. It was all due to the fact that we had spent 8 years working, and taking care of the kid’s never making time for just US… I truly believe if we hadn’t realized what was happening at that time we may have grown further apart and things may have turned out differently.

My point being… With the specials we are offering you here at the Inn of Lincoln for Valentine’s Day it is very affordable for you to TAKE SOME TIME for you and your loved one. One weekend away together will do wonders for your spirit and your relationship. Make the most of your time NOW… Surprise her or him with a weekend away…

Here’s the run down for the Feb special…

February specials
Lodging midweek or weekend $95/standard room, $165/suite.
All package rates are per day, non-holiday.
Does not include tax. Subject to change.

So give us a call we love talking to you. We will help you make your reservation for a great romantic weekend get-a-way.

Stay warm and don’t forget to tell that loved one how much you really love them…

Hello and welcome back to the Inn of Lincoln blog. It’s January the holidays are over and it’s COLD outside. What are we going to do for fun…

Well we have a few suggestions for you. If you’re like my family we just love to gather round the fire and have game night. We have old fashioned board game night or we plug in the PS3 and rock out to Guitar Hero. Family time is an important part of our weekly schedule. As important as Sunday dinner which even with the kids older we still make time. Some people think of summer as the only time to do a “family” vacation. There are so many things to do up here in the mountains in the winter. Aside from the obvious skiing, and snow machining, there’s snow shoeing, hiking, or good old fashioned sledding… Our indoor pool is a fun way to spend a day the kids just love the newly renovated tunnel leading over to the pool. Swimming in our indoor heated pool or taking a dip in the Jacuzzi is a fun way to spend a day.

Here are a few of our specials…

January weekend specials
These packages include breakfast and dinner to make your weekend hassle-free. Call 877.745.4888 to book special rates.
$125 per night for two! Two night stay required.

January and March specials
Lodging midweek starting at $75/standard room, $125/suite
Lodging weekend starting at $90/standard room, $125/suite

February specials
Lodging midweek or weekend $95/standard room, $165/suite

All package rates are per day, non-holiday. Does not include tax. Subject to change.

Give us a call and book your winter fun reservation with us here at the Inn of Lincoln. We are more than happy to talk to you and help plan a fun time for you and your family. Hope to hear from you soon…

Stay warm and drive safe…
